If you own rift and quest does anyone believe like I do that you will use the quest more?

I own rift, Playstation vr, and go. Last night on the rift I had a blast playing hellblade  and fallout out four. But there are things I hate to do. Contacts I never owned until the rift. I despise  the process of putting them in etc. But my love for vr is 2nd to none. Then move the coffee table, put up barrier so I don't smash my new TV like I did my other one. Put 3 shelve tables around living room. Place cameras. Then put away everything after. No other options for me. Then Omg the contact in one eye folded when I tried to remove and got stuck in my eye. AHHHHHHH! True I couldn't Play fallout 4  with the quest. I find myself using Playstation vr and go a lot  more than the rift because of easy of use. I also believe things will change again when the rift s comes and it has inside out tracking and can fit glasses comfortably

I believe that we will see more threads about holes in walls, more broken displays of various kinds, and more broken wrists. LOL

I use glasses inside the Rift, now for 18 months, never scratched the lenses. Never hit the tv, but I've been close to take down the ceiling lamp a few times, and I've hit a wall maybe 3 times  I fear everything will be much worse with no string attached 😉

Your fortunate with the glasses. My glasses are small and never was able to get them to feel right. For me way to uncomfortable.

I'm mainly looking forward to Rift S, but I'm hoping we don't have to wait too long for it. I'm really on the fence about Oculus Quest. I keep thinking what will I use it for, but when you consider you can take it anywhere, it starts to appeal to me more and more. The higher resolution screens and better lenses also have me thinking I will purchase it. I just wish Rift S was available at the same time as the Oculus Quest though. When you look at the Oculus GO screens with it's new lenses, it makes Rift CV1 seem dated.

@inovator I did end up buying a Playstation 4, but missed out on the sale of PS VR. It was only for £170 and I've seen some good PlayStation titles been shown. Do you reckon the PS VR is worth it now because I'm trying to hold on and wait for Playstation 5 and PS VR 2, which I've heard is supposed to be really good. In the end I want Rift S and PS VR, but I'm just not sure if the PS VR that's available now is worth getting.

I loved resident evil vr astro bots  is fantastic if you like platformers. Borderlands 2 recently came out on Playstation vr. But consider many of their games are also on the rift. If there are enough exclusives you like it may be worth it. But I also like certain non exclusive games on the Playstation vr that worked well like moss for example and some space shooters.  As for waiting for Playstation 5 the vr headset may not be out until quite a bit after 5 comes out. I'm very happy with it. I do have the Playstation pro that gives a little better visuals.

I wouldn't make much more use out of it, I couldn't play games like DCS World on it, it doesn't work in direct sunlight so I couldn't just take it outside where I have room to use it.  But what it does do is it offers 6 DOF on a system that is comparable to the quality of the rift and eliminates the cost of an entire computer and GPU that most people these days do not have at all, so this means that my friends that came over and loved the Rift but couldn't possibly afford one because of the computer can now buy into VR.  Hell they could buy up to 3 of them for the investment cost of the computer, GPU and Rift alone.  For me the rift has worked just fine for what I use it for, the new HMDs don't look to have enough difference for me to be interested enough to pay for one.  I simply don't use VR enough as it is and I know I won't just suddenly start using VR a lot if I just get a new HMD.

@falken76 - The Oculus Quest is no where near as powerful as the Rift, which as you know is attached to a PC.

Depends on how much better image quality Quest have. Go is already little bit better than Rift, but 3dof makes it more as media player than gaming device.

If Quest have even better image quality than Go then i might play more with Quest because of clearer image. Atleast with those games which are available in both Quest and Rift.

It depends on the game. For example on the go a platform game called along together works unbelievable and looks beautiful. You don't need an elephant gun to kill a fly. Other than the control situation a game like that looks as good or better than on the rift plus no wires? I never tried the quest of course but from what I read games like superhot and others already on the rift look and play so well that they are very close to rift quality. Superhot with no wires makes it a different game on quest. So does the climb. The games will be close enough that any game on rift that is also on quest I'm interested in I will buy on quest. I think the 2nd Gen lenses will make up for some weaknesses that it may have in camparison to the rift. When rift s comes out the question is, will the visuals be better or will the field of view improve enough that when a game is on both headsets I feel it's so much better on the rift s I have to buy them on the rift s. Time will tell.
