I am also very eager to know the answer to this question. In my case, I live in Japan and would pay whatever it takes (Fedex etc.) to have it shipped here. If international shipping is not going to be available immediately, I, and no doubt many others, would like to know when it will be available. If it is still undecided as to when you will make international shipping available, could you at least tell us if there is anything in the buying process that would prevent us from having the device shipped to a friends address in the US, who would then resend that to me here in Japan (i.e. I only have non-US credit cards).
Palmer posted on Twitter that it will ship internationally and that they currently have certification for 20 countries and more will come. I just hope they will have Denmark included on that list! 🙂
I'm really interested in the distribution system. For DK2 the shipping and taxes (e.g. Germany) have been very high ($350+$55 Shipping+$81 Tax = $486). For an estimated CV1 price of $396 this would lead to $514 or €475.
I don't expect the shipping costs to be as high because they won't ship one by one. But how about taxes? Didn't Oculus create distribution centers in Europe? Are there still customs duty to pay?
