After reading that piece and his other about why people shouldn't buy into this wave of vr, I can thoroughly say the following of that journalist:

The author is a moron.
I honestly dont see how he cant even guess at how many units have sold when both Amazon and Bestbuy are out.

Thats Nintendo console opening release type sales.
Then start throwing in all of the soon to be software sales and you have lain a golden egg.

And of course Rift wants to win the market any company that doesnt is just doomed to crumble.

Yeah, I read that interview earlier, and I was really put off by the writer. He seemed to be approaching it with a strong anti-Rift attitude, to the point that some of his comments came across as downright rude.

Yea the guy is anti-rift. It's pretty sad how many journalists nowadays in the gaming industry are just shills for Vive or especially PSVR. Why can't we get objective journalism anymore.
