I wonder how you guys protect your Rift when they are not in use? I just lay the flat on the table but im worried about dust covering the lenses while the Rift ist just laying around...
mine sits next to my monitor with the lenses facing away from the window. the room is dark most of the time so I'm not paranoid about discolouration from sunlight. once I get my new Video Card I'll be storing it in the box when I'm not planning on using it... not sure when that will actually happen since it's all I can do to not ignore the family and live in it full time but it's bound to happen sometime
Though you are more than slightly incoherent, I agree with you Madam, a plum is a terrible thing to do to a nostril.
I just put it on a shelve I have close by, still connected but turned off ofc. It's a low (narrow) shelve which basically only lacks doors, another shelve just above it and walls on the sides, so it's kind of protected there. But I do have to wipe the lenses for dust at times though (microfiber cloth for LCD screens).
The only thing I actually disconnect from the PC, is my G27 wheel, but that's because they made it "re-calibrate" itself every time I reboot the PC (meaning it rotates by itself all the way left and right. Oh and when logging into windows. I also want to be a part in using my wheel now and then).
I just have mine sitting on my desk next to my PC. I'm not too worried about dust because I have my Lens Lab prescription lenses on it. To clean it I just take the lenses out and give them a polish. Job done.
