Issues OVR LLC might need to seriously start dealing with

Hi,

I got a DK2 a few months ago and I am no developer. However, as CV1 release gets closer and closer, I think there are still some problems that really need to be fixed ASAP. We won't be talking here about hardware limitations (that cannot, and/or won't be fixed in a near future) but about software ones.

Multiple screens setups :
I use both my monitor and my TV as my PC displays. But since I got the DK2, and by carefully browsing the forum, I didn't dare yet to plug my TV back into my computer. I don't think a multi-screen setup is that unusual, especially for OR DK users who obviously are video games enthusiasts... It should be fixed and made stable once for all.

Performances issues and "partnerships" :
I think Oculus Team strongly need to start talking more with and promote VR to GPU and laptop manufacturers, and graphic engines maintainers. We have seen a few optimizations in video drivers recently but a lot of issues remains, especially judder. I experience this myself with quite a large numbers of applications : it's not a framerate related problem. It must have something to do with either the video driver or the engine or the way the demo have been written. Or even both. Obviously it's not the direct fault of the Oculus Team (as many demos also run without judder, I don't think we can blame the OR runtime). But still, it is mainly up to them to make things change faster.
The lack of laptop support is also pretty disappointing.
DK2 now has a pretty strong player base (considering it's a prototype) who is able to show it to other players (as I did). Cleaning things up to provide a smooth experience in every aspects should now be the priority.
No, I don't have reliable, accurate recipes, nor the means, to do that. Nevertheless, I am not owned by Facebook.

Runtime updates :
If we consider the way runtime updates have been released, we are now only one version prior to 1.0. Maybe it is time to release hotfixes and small patches to progress between big updates, instead of throwing major versions every 2-3 months. An auto-updater (which could let the choice to upgrade OR NOT, of course) could also be very convenient.

I think it's most appropriate.

Both fanboys. Both think that the DK2 is basically perfect.
Both take very little notice of serious faults ,or deny them.
Both seem to really believe that each update is fantastic.
Basically both are excuse providers only and both have closed eyes to real problems that the Oculus has right now.
A very appropriate avatar indeed.

Uh huh....except:

-Cyber can't be a fan of a place he works for.
-There ARE no serious faults with the DK2....what in the fuck are you talking about?
-Both believe that each update is necessary...YOU said "fantastic"
-yeah, because providing information and suggestions are considered "excuses" now?
