Jedi Outcast in PCVR is insane

I can't believe I'm seeing the day when we can play as an actual Jedi in VR ('I'm just a guy with a lightsaber'). It's such a cool concept in VR due to the natural abilities of a Jedi—it just works, and as a result is immensely fun, and badass.

You also have such a great arsenal of force powers, and force push/pull can be used via motion gestures, which is a nice touch. It's quite surreal to me that I can force jump in VR, but you do need a strong stomach to be a Jedi.

I've played through Outcast once before, but this is almost like a new experience! It brought me back into VR after quite some time and I'm happy about that. It's probably my new favorite VR game/mod, or it's definitely up there with Half-life 2 VR for me.

Thank you, modders!

Your referring to this 21 years old game?

Note that you can now play Jedi Fallen Order perfectly in VR - thanks to UEVR - that game is basically lightyears ahead of the extremely dated Jedi Outcast:

You do not need to fiddle with the settings if you just play 3rd person - I prefer 3rd person for this game. I've started playing Fallen Orden - it's close to blowing 99% of all other made-for-VR content out of the water 🙂

Of course Outcast may have the advantage being able to run on potato rigs - while Fallen Order is very different.

That's awesome! I love playing old games in VR. It feels great to be immersed in the classics. VR has never been about graphic quality, only immersion. And graphics play little to no role in immersion, which is why we could use VR to enter the world of the original Pac Man and be blown away!

I love that we're in 2024 and still vising old games in VR. I need to try this. Thanks for sharing!
