Just got my CV1 VR Cover - it's so pretty and comfy!

Hey Guys,

My VR Cover has just arrived and I know a lot of you haven't got yours yet or may not know what it is so I thought I'd share some pictures of what arrives in the bag and how it looks on a rift. 

I've given it a quick go and it really does add comfort, and the hygiene aspect is a massive bonus! So glad it comes with two. Going to give it a proper test tonight though :smile: Let me know if you have any questions about it.

well I guess it's entirely possible to be negative about every single post... except the posts that are already negative, I would hesitate to think of a brick being lodged even for such posters

So I just got my VR cover in the mail and I must say I'm disappointed in the quality. It very loosely fits on my rift, I would not say it was custom fitted at all. The stitching looks very poor and the differences in the two that I got are so drastic it almost seems like they are cutting the fabric by hand. There is no added cushion btw, and that's my fault for not investigating a little more. But the pictures you see make it look like it adds a little more cushion. For those of you contemplating spending the extra 26$ plus shipping from Germany you might as well stretch a thin cotton T-shirt over your rift and cut one out yourself.

I really wasn't impressed with mine. In fact I don't even use them. It's not that they don't offer any extra comfort, it's more that they are uncomfortable as there are areas that have wrinkled layers of cotton which translate as lumps and bumps when wearing the Rift. I can only guess that there is a lot of variation in the quality of the products or just peoples standards. I'm not hating on anyone here but I sure as hell wouldn't recommend these in their current state.

Mine arrived today. Well designed for a bit of cloth! Could maybe of done with a bit of elastic to help it hold onto the head set.

I'd forgotten I'd even ordered them :smile:

That company is taking liberties charging $26 (inc P&P) for what is basically a strip of cotton (I have one) - there's no 'comfort' in a cotton cover. It might stop sweat, dead skin and doggy hairs from spoiling the Rift, but that's about it.

I guess you wouldn't make it in the business world very long 🙂

Would de nice to have some padding in there if there isn't already. Are these the only ones making covers for CV1?

There is no padding, but it is double thickness so I guess could me 'modded' although it's not really needed, and like I said maybe an elastic added.
