Just got my CV1 VR Cover - it's so pretty and comfy!

Hey Guys,

My VR Cover has just arrived and I know a lot of you haven't got yours yet or may not know what it is so I thought I'd share some pictures of what arrives in the bag and how it looks on a rift.

I've given it a quick go and it really does add comfort, and the hygiene aspect is a massive bonus! So glad it comes with two. Going to give it a proper test tonight though  Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I want to buy some myself, but I would want to have some sort of padding to it to make it soft as I could. Not just for the front, but for the back as well so when I get lay down it's not trying to go throw the back of my head 😜

I hope they look into face plate replacements using their own design. That be worth the money then ^__^

It appears that people's opinions on the CV1 VR Covers vary greatly. Initially I was a bit disappointed with mine, but when I got it to fit properly I changed my mind.

Initially it can be a bit difficult to get it in the right position where it is nicely symmetrical, and where the fabric doesn't bunch up and crease and irritates your forehead. It also feels a bit loose on your head and when you shift the HMD around to get it properly focussed the fabric feels as if it can fall off.

After a while though you will get used to it and it is actually way more comfortable than just the relatively hard foam. It also blocks out the light from the nose gap so this is also a plus.

It can trigger the face-sensor if you leave it on as if you were wearing it, but you can slightly lift/curl up the VR cover where the sensor is when you're about to store it and it will not trigger anymore.

Got mine yesterday. I got the waterproof sports cover for the Vive. Overall I like it, much better when sweating now, as my foam doesn't soak it all up. But for the money, WAY overpriced! This thing should cost $10 at most. You get two of them, one for the wide face foam, and one for the narrow face foam.

Are these the ones that ship from Thailand or something? I need to find one that ships from within the US.

@mattborkin Yea, Thailand or somewhere in that area. Took 2 months to get mine. It was backordered but when it shipped on May 10th it took 18 days to get delivered - going to California.

Do these fit the CV1 rift, because on the vr cover website there's no mention of it just DK2. Also aren't these only $19 bucks for the rift?

@Keylo415 the cover I ordered is for the HTC Vive. For my product, the waterproof leather one, it cost me like $36 including shipping.

Does it feel worth the price? Also is this the only company selling vr covers atm?

I haven't done a lot of research into other vr covers. I ordered it right away cause I saw it was a waterproof sports cover, and I knew I would be very active in my Vive.

It is not worth the price, however I am happy with it so far; but only time will tell. I have a feeling it's going to wear out very fast, maybe in 3-6 months ill have some rips or spots that have heavily worn down.

Mine doesn't fit snug but it covers the nose gap. I think it's good enough. Watch their updated instruction video (for the Rift) whoever decides to get theirs
