Just installed the Oculus DK2. How the hell do I use it?

The Oculus is installed, plugged-in, and working.

Now what?

I have three games installed that according to the Wiki should work on Oculus Rift - ArmA 3, AAAaaAAAaaaaAaAAA - For the Awesome, and Battlefield 4.

I launch AAAaaAAAaaaaAaAAA - For the Awesome, and it works fine. Before I start, a menu pops up, asking me if I would prefer to play it in regular mode, or in one of the VR-modes. I choose one, and it works.

The problem lies with the two others. I launch the games, and nothing happens.

Fuck-all.

The games just run normally. The Oculus does not become activated. So what do I do? Do I have to track down and install specific drivers to the Oculus for certain games? Do I have to fiddle under the hood with certain games? What? How does this work?

Is it possible to just use the Oculus for regular PC use? (Internet browsing, playing regular games, watching YouTube videos and movie files, and so forth.)? In that case, how?

Please help.

*EDIT*.

My computer:

"Two 'NVIDIA GeForce TITANs in SLI.
32GB RAM.
'Intel Core i7-3960X'.
64-BIT 'Windows 7 Ultimate'.
'Creative SB X-FI Titanium'. (Latest drivers.)"

I'm using Development Kit 2.

DK2 is very much a "you need to do a lot of fiddling to make it work" thing.

Download Bilago's Tool, which is a fine piece of software and a wonderful innuendo, and it will automate so much of the process for you.

I cant wait to whip my tool out ehem, display my VR Game Launcher at the San Diego VR Meet up today 😉

I would like it if, should you ever release a full commercial version, you might take a leaf out of joystick manufacturer's books and call it either "Velvet Mamba" or "Thrustlaunch Black Pro".

Or maybe just "1.0" but make the "1" really, really phallic.

This is a pretty great post.
He even has troll in his name.
Anyone that actually tried to help is a far better person than I.
You would hope/expect someone (assuming they were not a troll) to do at least the slightest bit of research before throwing down $350+
Not that its easy to tell who is legit asking... since we all know the types that are like this.
