I'm glad primax exists. I hope the good outweighs the bad. If primax was a runaway success maybe much higher fov with clarity would develop faster as well with other companies.
I'm never glad when a company that is more closely aligned with scams and bad PR emerges as some sort of representative of an otherwise great new bleeding/leading edge technology. Pimax creates a "buyer beware" situation within the consumer VR marketplace that only serves to hamper progress.

This discussion is minor as in other way more important news CDPR just announced Cyberpunk 2077 delayed until September 2020. Excuse me whilst I cry for a bit. Y'all carry on Pimax and Upload VR discussions without me. :'(

Not really TSE Kevin. It's not a case of them covering anything up, on the contrary. Rather, highlighting misinformation and not doing a very good job of handling it. Having read Upload's CES coverage of Pimax headsets, the entire article reads like a character assassination, presenting a totally negative bias which puts it at odds with most other reports.

What?? Company mistakes do not reflect the quality of a product? The entire history of industry dictates otherwise. Bad hiring practices have lead to failed products and services many a times. Either directly or indirectly.

Well Facebook did hire Brendan, Nate, Luckey, and it did cost them several hundred millions in lawsuits to zenimax from all their lies. Then cost them more in lawsuits from luckey's attorneys against zuckerberg. Now we are left with a RIFT S that even luckey himself says is garbage because he can't use it, while many others think it is a huge downgrade from the previous hardware. I was hopeful with the half dome pr3 being demoed, but when Iribe quit in disgust because lenovo was making the next iteration rift, I left oculus for the index/steamvr platform.
