Just recieved my Rift

The Oculus Rift is a freaking awesome headset, the quality feels amazing and the overall design is awesome. I do have one issue besides the god rays that seems to bother me and thats during black seens I see red smudges on the top and bottom but during regular scenes they appear non existent is anyone else experiencing this?

You need SPUD and not for jackets potatoes, ask support.

The slight red tint is normal, a characteristic of OLED screens:

Thank you for the replys everyone I really appreciate it, im glad to know that this is normal and bot a defective unit 🙂 it doesnt really bother me too much since I can only see it during black scenes and in sure over time the colors may help wash out the red. Regardless Im very satisfied with this headset ^^
