Launching Applications in Mac Os X

How do you launch programs in Mac Os X ?

As I understand, the DK2 needs to be the Primary Desktop, with the toolbar dragged to it in order to run at 75Hz, at least that's my experience with it.

This makes it very difficult to see the primary desktop, at it is being displayed on the DK2. Are there any Virtual Desktop / Launcher Programs available that could solve this problem of launching applications from the DK2 display ?

How I currently have solved this is to have the Dock on the left, and the secondary (my Cinema Display) as the Left side monitor in the Display Preferences / Arrangement, and then place my programs in the Dock, but this works for only programs that work without having to open some file.

For example the Kolor Eyes 1.3 360 -videoplayer seems to be impossible to start with a movie, it opens up a window which requires you to drag a video to it, but the window is shown on the main desktop, which is the DK2, but at the same time it is filling the DK2 screen with it's content. If I try to open it first up with the movie, then turn on the DK2, it won't recognize the DK2 on the fly..

What methods do you use ?

For me, I have an iMac as a primary display, the DK2 as the second display, and another monitor as a third display.

The OculusConfigUtil can operate fine with this setup. The main app runs on the primary display and the demo launches on the second display (DK2). If I swap around the position of the DK2 and my third monitor, then the Demo doesn't run on the DK2.

In the Unity Demo, I have to launch the App and then drag it over to the DK2 window and then try to hit the play button. It will then work properly on the DK2. (You could also configure an App to always launch in a specific Desktop. Right click on its dock icon, click on the Options, and click on the Desktop in the "Assigned To" section that corresponds to your DK2)

I have tested this, to use the DK2 as a secondary display, but then I can see jitter. This doesn't happen with you ?
Somebody somewhere wrote that this happens because Mac Os X only for some reason runs the DK2 with 75 Hz if it's set as the primary display.
