Let's Talk About The Quest 3

I'm a little surprised there aren't too many threads on this so to get started:

What's the 1 thing you're hoping is changed or improved over your current (main) headset in the Quest 3?

Up until a month or so ago my main headset was the Quest 2 but I was using the Quest Pro for work and have now started using it to game.  The clarity and FOV seem quite a lot better to me in the Pro.

I always used to complain about FOV - I believed that was one of the biggest things which needed improving and I still think this is true.  The Pro is better but I'd love a bit more (greedy).

It has no audio by default. The headphone addon costs $99 extra and will come out later in the year (Beyond is Quarter 3, Audio strap is Quarter 4).

Yeah my posts have been negative, not only for Oculus Q3, but it just seems innovation is slow in favor of profit for all the manufactures. It does not take much innovation or imagination to realize that perhaps the battery strapped to the face is not a requirement and that the experience would be better with at least that weight on the back of the head like the Pico or in a pocket like the Apple. Yeah I bring that up a lot. I am disabled and the Q2 is downright painful for me and the old Oculus Go is still a joy for what it can be used for. At least give us a option of paying more for something innovating, I see nothing Pro about the Pro and that launched at $1500 and I rather go deeper with the Beyond for $1000 because of the alleged quality of the screens.  Plus all the other stuff like audio that allows me to chose what I want. Not having everything included is actually a positive to me.

Perhaps I am a bit butt hurt over how support for older products dropped off with small things like link home disappearing recently. How many times my controllers got stick drift, replaced or repaired. I question why this update now that will give the Quest 2 more power. Why did it not already have that power? Is it to keep it relevant or is it to shorten the battery faster and force an upgrade?

Perhaps it's just me but I feel for the most part people are not being honest about the Q3 or give it a pass because it's a stand alone. I however think if they treat the Quest 2 users as they did others in the past they may become cynical as I have. I think it has the potential to bomb like the Pro did. I am not even what you would call a gamer but I just want a quality experience when I strap something on. I have my doubts the Q3 will provide that but yes, I rather it would for $500 rather than investing lots more. I want everybody else to be happy with it too, I see it though as a short sighted design capable of putting Oculus into a bad spot that's going to make the next three years boring. Perhaps I am flat out wrong.
