Hi all,

I've just brought the G29 wheel and pedals.

is there any recommended setup/configuration that I should run either through windows or specific games?

Currently I have Dirt Rally and Project cars brought through Oculus Home.

thanks all!

I have the G25 and had problems with a Windows 10 update causing the wheel to be detected as a Logitech Driving Force which meant the clutch pedal didn't work. I heard that G27 users were having the same problem... don't know about G29 users though.

In any event, it's better to download the Logitech software and let that install your drivers.

I have G27 and W10, no problems here, just download the logitech gaming software and you are ready to go.

I have Windows 10 x64 and I had the problem with my G27 being recognized as a Driving Force wheel.  I had to install the Logitech 5.10 software and then I did the following and rebooted and it was working correctly again:
Make sure you install 5.10
1. Go to Control Panel
2.Devices and Printers
3.Right-click on the g27 steering wheel
4.Click on properties
5.Click on Hardware the Logitech g27 Racing Wheel USB and then Properties
6.Change Settings then to Driver
7.Update driver,Browse my computer, Let me pick a list of device Drivers on my Computer
8.Click on USB input. Reboot

I have no issues. Everything seems to be working.

Not having owned one before i guess I'm not sure what I should be expecting from the force feedback? For example, if I come off the track, will the wheel 'jiggle' due to rough ground?

Logitech wheel drivers have always been subpar... I now have a driving force gt...used to have a g25 both gave me all sort of problems in Windows,  force feedback not responding, button mapping acting out... You would think that by now the issues would be ironed out... But no they still happen from time to time...
My advice is once it works correctly dont disconnect it ever! You will never know how it will activités once you plug it back in.

I have a g29 and as far as I can remember, dirt rally identifies it automatically and for PCars, select the g29 separate wheel and pedals

I've had a G25 for about 10 years and never had any issues with drivers or otherwise.  Still works fine, though reverse no longer engages when using the H-pattern shifter.  I'm sure something just needs to be resoldered, but after 10 years of use I have zero complaints.

I have full G29 setup and all works fine. PC has a built in preset so apart from any changes you want to make you should be good to go.

My G25 has been perfect... Im just losing confidence in Windows 10 updates. As long as you have the correct drivers installed, in this case directly from Logitech, then you should have no problems
