I'm not from Ohio, but let me give you some advice. If you just pop up in a forum like that, don't give any information about who you are, what you do, what you want to do and why you're looking for a dev in the first place. Chances are, you'll be ignored.
I have been in the dental sales field for 11 years, and I am currently an equipment sales rep for one of the largest dental equipment and supply companies in the country. I have contacts at the other 2 big players as well. You can view my LinkedIn profile here: https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=80502938
I am looking to have some initial meetings with an Oculus Rift developer, an expert in dental office design/layout, and a 3D Autocad designer (I already have these individuals picked out).
The idea is to bring 3D autocad dental office floorplans into the VR world, allowing dentists to enter and virtually tour their new dental office before ground is broken. I work in dental office design now, and have mentioned this concept to countless dentists who agree that this needs to happen. This would eventually expand outside of dental, but given my connections and experience, I believe this is where we could have an immediate impact.
I am looking to form a team of partners for this project who believe in and understand the need and potential profits from licensing this product to the largest dental dealers in the country.
Please let me know your thoughts. I would love to kick off with an initial meeting of the 4 of us and see where it goes.
Have you tried visiting one of the VR meetups in Ohio? That way you can meet people and discuss in person. There is a meetup group for the Cincinnati/Dayton area at this address, though, I don't know when they plan to meet up next. http://www.meetup.com/Cincinnati-Dayton-Virtual-Reality/
