Lucky's Tale is a short game.

I can't be the only one that's not upset about this news can I? There's a bunch of drama on the subreddit and I just don't understand it. It's sort of a first of it's kind being a AAA quality classical 3d platformer built for VR and....it's FREE. That seems like a great bargain for me even if it ends up being 3 hours long. What am I missing?

The odds were high I wasn't even going to play it for more than one session if that as I dislike platformers.

It's not a free game. It comes with the rift if you preorder but Lucky's Tale will definitely be for sale for people who do not preorder.

Lucky's Tale is free for everyone. Eve is the pre-order bonus.

Even for DK2 owners? Also has it been said if it will work w/ the DK2?

No, I'm just talking about CV1 owners. I don't think Oculus has talked about DK2 compatibility with CV1 content yet.

Nope I am not upset either. People on internet get upset pretty easily I guess.... :?
Maybe it's the vocal minority, or people in general, I don't know.

It's like that FB thing: people were like...... and that's not an real issue anymore (mind you: I hate FB but was really happy when that news came out, because it meant VR is a real thing now).

Good point. The vocal minority can make a surprising amount of noise.

I have to say I was hopeful that it would be a decently long experience, as it stands it will probably be something you play once and then never again unless you want to show it to friends. It's not the end of the world for a free game, but 3-5 hours is pretty poor by modern standards. A good way to extend games like this is to have challenging parts that need to be completed to 100% the game, but can be bypassed if you just want to get to the end, like the comets in Mario Galaxy. Hope we see something like that.
