Max amount of Sensors possible....

Hi

I am using Oculus for a client activation, and they want to have a 30' x 30' interactive space.

I have looked online and seen that 3 sensors is the max that should be used with the Rift.  Firstly is this true? Secondly what are my other alternatives for a space of this size?

Cheers

even with 4 sensors it wont scale that high, max distance of any one sensor is around 12'
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on forums?

I've not seen seen that stated anywhere, but even so 2 front 2 rear makes 24' square.

what i dont get is why it's limited,

i'd love to have silly amounts of them just for shitz and giggles.

if it means i need a more beasty pc then great, thats the excuse i need

There are many others like it, but this is mine.

An old sage said to me it's all well having lots of shitz and giggles, but you can take it too far, then all you're left with is shitz. Wise words my sagey friend.

Because even 3 sensors is pushing the limits of the data USB can handle.

I suppose in theory you could have a stack of PCIE USB cards.

I don't believe anyone as tried more than 4 sensors actually. Why don't you be the first to try?
