Mic sounds muffled

Hey there, i tried out the internal mic 1 time, but it sounded as if i were speaking with a hand in front of my mouth.

I tinkered with the settings, well there is only the 1 checkbox but it sadly did not help.

In an older thread someone had the same problem but had his Rift replaced by Oculus and everything was fine. 

Is there something i could do/try?

Just to give you an idea what it sounds like, or is my voice simply not compatible. :neutral:

I heard others test files and they were so clean sounding..

Mine sounds even worse. Been looking all over for a solution, I'm beginning to think some units just have crap microphones. Too bad I didn't test it when I bought the unit a year ago. 😞
