My PS4 controller behaves like a Meta VR controller.

Hi, I have a Meta Quest 2 that I recently had to develop applications but also to play Android games on it. However, I have a problem with my PS4 controller when I connect it via Bluetooth. The PS4 controller behaves not like a PS4 controller but like a VR controller provided with the Meta Quest 2. I am no longer able to control the Android applications that I installed on the PS4 controller whereas before I was able. When I press the Playstation button is like I press the Oculus button to open and close the menu in VR. It happens after an update. Is it a bug in the update or I can no longer use a PS4 controller on my Android apps? I tried with other controller but it gives exactly the same result.

Took me awhile to figure out but here’s what you do.

1.) go into the application of question

2.) Press [Options] + [Share] for DualShock 4, or [Start] + [Select] for other controllers

3. Now it should work 🙂

Hey there @JeanHeon just checking in to see if what @vNum provided you helped?

We are all mad here.

I Press Options + Share Button and it don't work.

What applications are you using it on?

i also have the same issue before i would go into a vr browser game and it would let me use my ps4 controller on my Android games i have on my quest but now in update v56 i can no longer use my ps4 controller

This thread isn't about connecting a Quest to a PS4.

It's about how an update to the Quest software made it recognise PS4 controllers paired with it as valid controls for the Quest system software, meaning it is less useful for playing android or web games.
