Yea man so much wait and stress LOL, but it was worth it! I really need to get touch controllers ASAP to make a proper comparison, atm the winner is the Vive.

@EliteSPA

Hey buddy, congrats. I know there has been many comparisons done on these forums and others but I like hearing from guys who have both and don't have reason to side with one or the other. What's you reasons for preferring the Vive at the moment is it just room scale/controllers or is there more to it.

As you know from my other thread I was having some issues with my Vive but they are pretty much sorted now (bar some stuck pixels) So Im in two minds wether to return it for a refund or just to get the pixels fixed and keep it. Would like to hear how you think the two compare.

Grats man. Still patiently waiting on my Rift turning up, what was your updated delivery timescale? Vive is keeping me busy before it turns up. Look forward to hearing your comparison thoughts.

Congrats! I'm in the same boat as you EliteSPA. Having both headsets is awesome. Got my Vive two weeks ago, the Rift came in last week. In fact, the only thing missing in my life at the moment is time, more time to use my new toys. Oh well, where to next Rift or Vive  B). Enjoy!

Wow, you got both? Nice going.

Quick question (to a "normal" user who got both VR Headsets): Is the SDE really so much worse on the Vive or is it barely noticeable?

Also...why is the Vive better in your opinion? Is it because of the motion controllers? (just curious) 🙂

Excellent - very happy for you Elite!
Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3

I'm going to get destroyed for saying this, but I did find the SDE worse on the Vive, and I actually prefer the Oculus godrays over the Vive god-rings

The Vive has got it's controllers going for it right now, and possibly a better overall tracking solution.
Apart from that I prefer the Rift on all fronts and I'm giving a lot of points for comfort and the convenience of having the built-in headphones.

Who knows, Touch may solve most of Oculus'  current shortcomings and it will be the Vive playing catch-up again.

Some of that depends on where Oculus takes Oculus Home.
