I first found out about Dolby Atmos because it's part of the Spatial feature in Windows 10.
The quality of Dolby Atmos vs 3D and normal is beyond them because the colors are far better (very natural), the screen seems wider and more quality (realistic), the sound reproduction is incredibly done correctly (immersion). My mom when the Dolby demo came out right before the movie said we need this when we make our own home. I mean, I was looking for the subwoofer feel from IMAX 3D and normal and idk where it went but it went here. It uses 2 laser projectors to create 1 image. There must have been like 50 speakers and 5 subwoofers or more. The sound bass went around from the seat from the back to the front. We were in the back right so when the sound went from back to front it felt that way. It's not like the bass is just syncronized but intelligent. Cars 3 was great and done right. A couple good bass demonstrations like when the car flipped and a huge explosion happened once but it was just where it should be. The idea would be to watch a great action movie in Dolby Atmos. It was just so immersive that I think you can get more involved w/ the drama in the movie because the foundation is far beyond anything I've experienced. Like, you can get emotional about a movie that is in a more inferior foundation like a normal theater but the feeling of everything is greater in Dolby atmos because the foundation is done more right than I've ever experienced. Maybe 4DX is beyond but I think it might be more towards an arcadey feel into of a more realistic type you are there simulation. The cost of the ticket was the same as it was in 3D at AMC. I think the amount of technology and engineering to make the room was well worth the price of admission. The seat quality was like being in a very high-end luxury car. I highly recommend people check it out!!
