That looks frickin awesome, i hope to jesus that someone implements that with the consumer version of the rift. It would be waaay better than holding 2 razer hydras for gaming.

That video has been out since February though. Does anyone know what's up with the Myo as of late?

This is a fairly old video and quite a few questions have been asked about it before. As far as we know it does include motion control, but no motion tracking. So this would be useless for anything that doesn't only include basic commands already installed into the software, because there are only a certain amount of commands available per arm, not including flexibility per person. Also, think about how huge your forearms will become when you start making movements, that you had virtually never done before, that focus on those muscles for repetition.

So my question is; is this post made to be informative to a "new" OR input device (should be in Input Device forum then), or is this that you want to somehow change the MYO to fit the OR better (still wrong forum, I think)?

Apparently, they got enough funding to start sending out the MYO in 2014. It looks like they never had any devkits sent out because you can apply to be a developer, but seems you won't get any products earlier than the release date.

I've totally missed MYO and I can't find a lot of info about it, but it would support VR experience for sure.
May it will become a usefull controller-addon some day, the idea is brilliant and it has a lot of capability. You can't really judge any of the new VR-controllers, all seem to be in a very experimental and early stage.

I doubt that would happen. I mean, look at a piano or guitar player's forearms and you'll see that they're not that different from the average person's.
