Nvidia just announced the new TITAN X costing $1200 USD and will release next month August 2nd. Boasting around 30% performance gain compared to the GTX 1080.

For the 30% increase it really doesn't seem to be wourth the extra cost, surely the 1080ti will get pretty close to this but at a much cheaper price? (he says.)

Sooo tempted to sell my Founders Edition to get this but the extra cost for 30% performance gain seems a bit formulaic. Are Nvidia doing this on purpose or what? plus it's around £300 more than the cost of the 1080. 

980ti - 1080 30% gain 
1080 - Titan X 30% gain
Titan X - 1080Ti ???

That said, if the 30% gain translates well to 4K we could finally have a card capable of maintaining 60 fps in most games at Ultra settings. That's something which interests me the most. I'll have to do some maths.
