Take with a grain of salt for now, but since we all can't even get any type of 30 series card presently, it's probably true for this year at least...until production ramps up...which looks like next year anyway.

Just an 8% lead, but not necessarily unimportant. Based on average results in current games, 3090 seems only about 16% faster than 3080. In TimeSpy 3090 has been found to be about 20% faster than 3080:
