The newest Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus, is available today alongside the Galaxy Note 7! With over 300 games and experiences on the Oculus Store, there’s something for everyone — from heart-pumping experiences like AFFECTED: The Manor, to securing a front row seat at the Rio Olympics via Oculus 360 Photos. Over one million people on the Oculus platform are introduced to new games and experiences through their Gear VR each month — and we’re adding new content weekly. Just this past week we’ve added over a dozen new Gear VR apps and experiences to the Oculus Store.

Agreed.  I'd like to see Oculus put some money in to a rollercoaster app so that it's done properly.  As for Touch - the lack of them is forcing me to hold off buying certain games.  Come Christmas and early 2017 i'm sure the market will be flooded with content.
Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3

Worrying to me also.

I'm of an age where I've seen this before.

Betamax was a far superior system to VHS, but the common masses bought into VHS. It was cheap and plentiful. More people were able to pick up a cheap VHS player than could get a Betamax.

It didn't take long for the movie studios who were backing both to begin focus on the one system that was cheaper and had a larger user base.

Why pay for expensive Rift games and experiences when a cheaper Gear-VR version could be sold for less to more people bringing in a higher and quicker profit.

Shame. I feel it's all my fault. I bought a Betamax, I still own a HD-DVD player.  😄

I do notice a lot of convenience over quality these days. A 128bit mp3 through a tinny phone speaker seems to suffice these days. Me, I want full fat flac, or CD/Vinyl through a proper amp and decent speakers. I seem to be in the minority now though.  😞

I hope I'm wrong, and I've backed the winner here.

The amount of 'good' content available for the gear is soo small imo; i'd hate to see the content for the rift.

yeh it is mostly rubbish, but there are those few gearvr only gems that alone make it completely worth it!

I'm right there with you. I love the full experience! Big screen, 7.1 surround with amazing bass! Full on all!!

Feel the exact same way!

But you're right, seems most of us are just fine playing 8bit Minecraft on an old cheap Dell computer or Pokemon' Go on their tiny phones!

Shame they've never experienced "REAL" gaming!

Too much stuff for the Gear and no nearly enough for the Rift.  I don't care about Gear.

This is still a hot topic here. This announcement should have never been put in this forum. Rift users seem really upset about this "Announcement" and they should! This should have been in a Gear VR Forum only.

Yes fellow Rift users, we'll have to be patient! There will be more Rift VR content, a lot more in 2017. Hang in there, I feel your pain!
