Short little announcement here. Pretty much what I expected. Limited FOV, portable. It seems Oculus still has no competitors, unless Sony has another HMD to reveal later. I'm not quite sure what the point of headtracking is when your FOV is so small, but I guess it's a start.
Not much talk about games, just that it's a "virtual theater experience".
Becoming really confusing from Sony (think they like it like this) - they have so far only shown their HMZ (Virtual Display) tech, while they are making big claims (behind closed doors) about their new HMD (VR) system. One hint was that it would only run on a modified (upgraded) PS4 - but we can not get any more information / confirmation of this.
Wonder if Sony wanted to wait for OVR to show their stuff before showing off their new HMD? Tomorrow will be a interesting day.
