I bought it and think it's great, it's had three updates in the space of a week too.

happy to support small devs doing good work.

I also bought it- I wanted to support media apps on dk2. He has now added all themes to the package rather than charge separately as before. Pleased he did this - shows he is listening to the users.

One problem I have is that it will not show in full screen on the rift when I use directtorift mode (extended) - the screen is curved to the left and right and it causes the movie to be squashed a bit. I have the same look in windows so its not the rift that's causing it - how to get full screen in directtorift mode? I tried the other executable ie not direct to rift and that ran full screen but it would not move to the rift if I pressed shift-windows-arrow.

thanks

"I use directtorift mode (extended)"

Pretty sure Direct mode is NOT extended mode, they are different, change the Oculus dsiplay config back to direct, then run the direct .exe.

HI

thanks I will try it. I notice he has just updated to 0.7 now - not sure what has changed though.

Whatever I do and whatever I try the depth is completely crushed, everything seems flat, like if the furthest away was only a meter away from me.

I think that added positional tracking to all scenes.

I also purchased Cineveo. I really like the hands free UI. Gently curved screen is also nice. Plays 2D and 3D content with no issues. AFIAK the only movie app where you can skip forward in the movie (with preview) without removing the rift.

There is definitely something wrong with the depth of the theaters. Watching movies is fine, but if I look around at the scenes if causes eye strain. Hope this gets fixed. A file browser would also be nice, rather than having to drop files into the Cineveo directory structure.

unpolished, eye-straining, warped scale...not worth paying for IMO.

I bought it yesterday and watched Pacific Rim in 3D in space on the DK2, I gotta say, it's amazing! It has positional tracking, a file browser, so you can choose the movie without leaving the rift, while watching the movie, you can bring up the UI and control the volume, pause, jump to anywhere in the movie, etc. using only your head. Cool experience.

The boat theme is even more immersive, with occasional other boats floating past you in the distance. Makes me want to watch Harry Potter 😛

As for the "Haunted" theme, I didn't even try, because I know there's jump scares within the theme itself when you look around.

Works great, all the other VR movie apps I tried just didn't work for me. The only thing is if the movie has a different language by default (say spanish and english) theres no way to switch the audio to the other language unless Im not aware of it?
