I haven't played with my Rift yet today, but just saw this article!

https://uploadvr.com/rift-s-controller-tracking-update/amp/

Anyone notice an improvement? They say it's almost night and day!

The update IMPROVES the tracking.....not fixes it.

Before the update it was almost impossible to aim with rifles through sights. Now i have absolutely no problems so far with it anymore. So i would say it FIXED the issues with rifle aiming for me. 😉

You are only ONE person. It is not fixed until ALL people say that they have no issues whatsoever.......and since that is not the case....it is NOT fixed.

Some people said the tracking was fine on Rift S before this fix and that you just had to adapt to inside out tracking.
Some people kept insisting on integrating CV1 sensor compat, while others were saying they'd be far better off fixing the inside-out instead. I'm glad they solved it for the most part (I would say a 'dramatic improvement' could be considered solved) instead of caving to the CV1 sensor plea.

I was one of those people that asked for sensors to be used, but what the heck do you expect people to say when something that's a consumer product is broken? Why should people have to wait for something to be fixed when they have purchased something that's new? It's ok to ask for things to be fixed and give suggestions instead of defending something that's broken you know.
Oculus themselves didn't even say if they were fixing it and then people became frustrated with the people who were saying tracking was fine. Obviously it wasn't fine though because it got fixed 😉
