I haven't played with my Rift yet today, but just saw this article!

Anyone notice an improvement? They say it's almost night and day!

Some people said the tracking was fine on Rift S before this fix and that you just had to adapt to inside out tracking. It will be interesting to hear from those who had problems with the tracking before this fix. Sadly, I returned my Rift S due to the horrible tracking in FPS and went back to CV1, so I'm not able to say how much it has improved.
Looking on Reddit there are positive comments, but also a few comments saying it's not fully fixed. The ones saying it's not fully fixed do say it's much better then it was though.

Very exciting. Can't wait to fire it up and try it out.. Won't be able to until Sunday tho due to work schedule!

Just tried it, it's great. Vastly improved. There's vids floating around showing before and after in a mirror.

In-game there's practically no issue anymore.

Yes the Touch Controller tracking is much improved in 1.39 PTC especially when holding close to face.

I just got Oculus update, but it says version 1.38 in "whats new". Is that where to check version number? Im too hangover to try VR in early morning, so i cant test it myself.

Go to the General tab of Oculus desktop settings menu, scroll to bottom to see your version number.
1.39 is in Public Test Channel only currently, you can participate in it's testing by signing up for the Public Test Channel in the Beta tab of same settings menu.
Best done when not hungover...

Thank you very much.

I got now version 1.39xxxxx. I tried Close hmd tracking with Zero Caliber and difference is huge. I could touch my headset with controller and it still tracked.
