I've already sent this issue to oculus' support, but just in case someone has had the same issue and it's already solved.
I pre-ordered yesterday late at night (Spain). I logged in with id.oculus.com because shop.oculus.com didn't recognize my email.
Before, I tried to pre-order unsuccesfully at D day - H hour, but after several tries I noticed the 700 euros pricetag (I was unware of that change in price after entering my address at first) so I refused to keep trying and all that paranoia.
So, yesterday I went through all the process without a single problem. I can see the order (pre-order) in my order history, but still I don't have any confirmation email. And my shopping cart still shows a Rift pending of checkout.
You may have purchased correctly the first time. The rift in the cart for me was a second attempt i made that said only 1 purchase per customer. I wouldnt worry about the one in the card. Various threads state that emails will be fixed in next 48hrs. As long as you have an order and an order number in url bar at top of page you are good to go.
