It seems like we'll get:
Maybe reduced power consumption due to 7nm. And maybe the best - if it's true:

After having waited for about a year, lol - I got my EVGA email today. I have 20 hours 😁
- if I had waited, I would not have needed spending $5,000 on the new rig, but could have used $2,000 to upgrade the old rig - but where's the fun in that... Not really sure the i9 10900K is much faster in the games I play compared to the old i7 7700K (which had no problems getting 144 fps in Alyx)... Well, sometimes it's better just to enjoy life and not to think too much 😂
It's about 5 months since I got the Asus Strix OC RTX 3090 - and to be frank, I only wanted the EVGA XC3 3090 because it's only 2.2 slots and would fit my old small Core 500 mini-ITX case...
Could be a sign that high-end gpus aren't that hard to get anymore - Nalex also just got a similar email from EVGA, maybe the tides are turning 🤔

My most awesome EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra bit the dust yesterday. I am having withdrawal symptoms already from no gaming today.
Luckily I purchased the Advanced RMA when I bought the card last Nov. Called them up and they have already activated the Advanced RMA and I should hear back in 1-2 business days with shipping info. They will send the card next day air and I will have 14 days to return the defective card.
So hopefully by mid week next week I will be back in business.
Big Kudos to EVGA on this. Contacted Tech Support on phone and he was extremely helpful and activated my Advanced RMA right away after I described the problem. This type of support is big reason I choose EVGA on much of my PC Hardware needs.

@Anonymous Sorry to hear about this mate. So far my Zotac rtx3090 Trinity (non oc, 350W max) is hanging in there. Maybe the 350W limit helps, who knows? Needing to send this back has always worried me and is the main reason I've kept my trusty old Zotac gtx1080ti Blower in storage, just in case, lol! Hope you're back in business soon. Good luck and cheers.

My RTX 3080 Ti is out for delivery today. I've been watching the tracking like a hawk, because UPS just leaves signature-required packages on the front porch without even bothering to ring the doorbell. They've just missed the end of the delivery estimate window, but hopefully it shows up in the next few hours, otherwise I'll probably have to wait until Monday (and spend another anxious day watching the tracking website).

Seems like Santa is out early this year, hope he makes it today 🙂

Sad to hear. I did read about EVGA potentially having issues, but that was with a specific game causing 3090 to overheat - or at least some believed that was the reason. Not sure if the issue is specific to EVGA, hope my card will survive for long, but you never know... Asus has 3 years of warranty though. Good luck with the replacement!

Agreed that having the ability to push more watts could cause some adverse events, who knows. The Asus Strix is allowed for up the about 500w, but for now I'm using the Silent Bios which reduces things a bit. Also using 100w more to gain a few % more performance makes little sense to me. Some of the most heavily oc'ed 3090s are 10% faster than my card, and 10% really isn't much. I'm down to 30 fps in Carrier Comnand 2 in some places with Ultra + res 200%, and I don't think 33 fps would be a lot more awesome, lol.

Yeah I never had a heating problem with my FTW3 Ultra - hottest I ever saw it get was around 63c.
EVGA also has the same three year warranty.

Wow so I was advised when I called EVGA and they opened the Advanced RMA that after I submitted expect 1-2 business days before I heard back. Well I have already heard back today, everything is a go and I just had to give them my CC# they use to hold as collateral until they get my card back.
This is why EVGA has such a stellar reputation. They took something I was dreading doing and made it about as simple and painless as it could possibly be. Way easier than I would ever have imagined.
I am now even a bigger fan of EVGA than I was before.

Wow...sorry to hear about this. Glad to hear you're getting a replacement quickly. Mine is still fine...but I don't OC it either, I'm hoping mine will still be fine going forward. What happened? if you don't mind the question (in case I need to monitor mine). Cheers!!!
