How is a multi-billion dollar company neglecting this issue so hard, that so many people are facing? This issue has persisted for me on different computers, and different headsets. I have gone through all of the steps with support, and the band-aid fix that let me play for a single session by opting in PTC (why doesn't link work in your actually released builds lmao) is ruined by the newest update. This headset and its software wants to be locked like the iPhone eco-system, yet has no connectivity like it's supposed to. PSA to anyone who wants to use a VR headset to run PC games or programs, never buy from Meta.

Ok, I guess I stand corrected, lol! I’m just glad I was already on ptc v57 and Oculus desktop app public beta v57.
Sounds like you did find a workaround so maybe quit grumbling, lol!

ep_sode, did you get a work around? I am having exactly the same issues as you, and just like you I know it is not my system.

I don't believe that Quest 1 is capable of connecting to a PC. Unless something changed since its initial release. I own the Quest 1 and Quest 2, and as far as I'm aware, Quest 1 is purely stand-alone. I could be wrong though! I should load it up this week. It has been ages.

The workarund was enabling PTC.....but now it does not work anymore because the official v57 is out and cable link is broken again.
The headset is not detected when using cable....airlink still works.
There is a big thread about here

I've been trying to figure out a way to rollback my Oculus software to a previous update to fix it, but so far I've had no luck. I think we're stuck in this state of not having any luck with cable link until Meta decides to fix their useless program.
