Recently, I've read the article on Road to VR:"AMD ‘Radeon ReLive for VR’ Streams SteamVR Games to Standalone Headsets". Oculus Quest uses Snapdragon 835, this SOC supports 802.11ad wifi standard. Which means 60Ghz and theoreticaly 10G connection speed. I've been thinking, what if I buy 802.11ad/60Ghz router, I can connect my Oculus Quest to my PC on REALLY good speed without wires. But, there are some issues here, Oculus Quest antenna need to support 802.11ad/60Ghz Wi-Fi Spectral Band. What do you think guys? I think this would be really cool, if we will be able to connect Oculus Quest to powerfull PC and broadcast signal to it. P.s. I hope nVidia will do the same with their drivers.
