Now Quest and Rift S is coming what should expect at OC6? Maybe more big updates coming or maybe more hardware maybe a Go upgrade? what are you expecting? ?
I think valve should of gone a different way, maybe lower the tech specs for a more affordable price?
They probably could have kept the same specs and knocked a couple of hundred quid/dollars off the price if they weren't price gouging the same way that HTC have been doing.
This is what's so frustrating. The 2.0 Lighthouse base stations only cost $60 to make apparently. They could have quite easily had them going for $150 for the pair and still made a profit. $280 for the controllers is also taking the piss.
If I'm going to spend £919 on a headset I want either:
1) The same resolution as the HP Reverb or
2)The same FOV as the Pimax headsets
£919 for a headset that's only 1600p and only has a 20% increase in FOV is REALLY taking the piss.
They could have ended up with a real Rift S killer if GabeN hadn't been so fucking greedy.
I was all ready to end my long standing Valve boycott if the headset had been either at a decent price or the same price it is now with specs to match.
