Wow they have a big booth! Totally demonstrates that they are going to push with VR in a big way.

May would be the favourite for me. They were probably originally planning on October during Oculus Connect 5 but nobody was expecting HTC to make the daft business decision they've made with the Vive Pro.

Because that was unexpected they have to react to it plus have something announced due to the WVR headsets too.

I can see another price cut for the Rift in May or June to bring the price down to $299/£299 and a teaser for next year's CV2 at the end of the Facebook F8 keynote. 299 smackeroonies is impulse buy territory for a lot of people.

Nah, May will be all about Santa Cruz.

DK2, CV1, Go, Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3.

The thing is that SC still needs to be release ... so idk.. OC5 or 6 is the only time we will hear anything about CV2 let alone HTC not really gunning anything really that new. I mean the price point alone is going to waver a lot of people from picking up a new headset already when we talk about a Vive Pro. Really it's just a resolution upgrade... the Rift can already do that... you need that really cool feature to really sell a new unit in the masses. Oculus has the tech - DOF - FOV rendering - possible use of MLEDs to really drive a "RPO" product if they wish to. I don't see how Oculus would be threaten by HTC or any other company right now with that many technology behind their belt for use.

May or OC this year will be about OGO and SC mostly.... GDC will be all about OGO from the looks - but I could always be wrong. Maybe they do plan on something else xD but usually now that they are more on focus with what they are releasing - I don't think we will see surprises anymore going forward.

I know one of the big things for OC this year will be the focus on stand alone and it's current state and how they are planning to really focus on the content for. Stand alone (mobile or pc) is a big jump for the VR community as a whole. No longer are we using just phones to display the content - but the ability to really be on the "go" with it. This is a big step into really big growth for VR as a whole. If it fails - then um *cough* huuuuhhh .... they have CV2 next year:))) On the other hand, if on the go VR does work well - CV3 I am sure will be something in terms of AR + VR that will totally blow everyone out of the water for sure xD

A lot of us understand the importance of it ... but the question for us is there enough content there to really drive it forward for everyone? Will more people see the need or want for VR like that?

Looks like a good chunk of space. Nice placement as well.

Is it me or do I not see the underdog vr company listed there?
