This is actually smaller than the last 2 GDCs.
Here's the GDC floor plans for Oculus going back to 2013:

(Posted by bekris here: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/7zpio9/oculus_gdc_booth_floor_plan_2018/duppzja/ )

This year: 6000 square feet.
2017: 7200
2016: 6600
2015: 5400
2014: 2400
2013: 400

Although of course it depends on how they are using the space.

Oh, and if you look on that map to the right of Amazon, Sixense have a 2400 sq ft stand (bigger than FMOD, Rad Game Tools, THX and ARM combined). Umm, Sixense, maybe more time on finishing Stem and less on conferences?
(I'm sure they must draw lots to decide who has to be at the stand and face the public).

From Jason Rubin:

What can attendees who visit Oculus’ booth at GDC hope to see?

You won’t be able to miss our booth. We’re trying something new this
year: you’ll not only be able to demo upcoming titles across multiple
devices, but also hear from Oculus leaders and creators in talks hosted
right on the show floor. Anyone curious about building in VR, hungry to
strengthen their skills, or just craving time with like-minded peers is
invited to stop by and hang out. 1:1 time with the community and the
feedback we get from time spent at events like these is what keeps us
going.

More GDC:
HTC - 200 sq ft Vive booth in the north hall business centre.
Vuzix - 200 sq ft stand (south hall)
Qualcomm - 100 sq ft (north hall), 800 sq ft (south hall)
Google - 600 sq ft (north hall), 3600 sq ft (south hall)
Apple - 300 sq ft (north hall)

Hmm, Unity isn't there. They seem more appropriate to GDC than a lot of those stands (Sixense!).

Maybe, but they still pop back for conventions. 🙂

Wow they have a big booth! Totally demonstrates that they are going to push with VR in a big way.

Of course... VR needs a lot of spaces!
