hey guys just ordered my oculus rift today cant wait to get it hope it does not take long to ship just becuase it says 6-8 weeks does that mean it will take that long? o well jsut hear to say hey guys and asking for any tips and a good controller to use for it

welcome. I haven't kept track of shipping times, but chances are you will be waiting at least as long as they estimate. Your Rift might not even be made yet.
You can use almost any controller you want these days. I personally like the xbox controllers,but you can even use PS4 controllers if you want. Good luck on your painful wait and don't expect the world from dk2. It's a great vr hmd, but also not a final product. It's got rough edges.
I don't know what the wait times are looking like now, but I ordered mine on June 4th and it was September when I got it, so if you're only waiting six weeks you're doing good.

More around the 2-3 month before it ships currently. Tips/Controller: Get VoiceAttack and w/e controller suits the game genre
