What do you mean by "I think"?
It sounds great actually, if it's well integrated - so I don't have to install external plugins etc. Say just switch the platform to Oculus and your ready to go.

I pre-ordered Unity 5 and I bought a new Graphics Card so I hope the new platform is available in version 5 or 4.6.

I'd be more happy if the DKs were easier to obtain so I can start playing around with Unity and the Oculus... 😞

I used the free trial with the DK1 but my budget didn't stretch to the pro version so I recently played with the Unreal integration.

This announcement gives me the freedom to use either again, which I prefer.

Of course, until it comes out, we can't know how good it is, but I was happy with the DK1 integration so I am hopeful this should be fine as well.

Yeah, I think this was coming. Considering Unreal Engine is much more affordable to hobby developers, Unity had to do that.

Sounds like a good change, as long as this isn't just an excuse to create a $1500 Oculus Pro addon.

Still, Unity Free is missing a lot of useful features while Unreal Engine is neither limited or expensive.

I am happy to be able to use both...

I have a fair number of things I wrote in unity which I now know I don't have to migrate to unreal and I can choose unity, blueprints or c++ depending on my mood..

I am never likely to release anything too seriously so that side of the equation can wait until the unlikely event I write something I think people might pay for !

In the meantime, this gives developers another opportunity to develop with minimal outlay which should increase the games/applications we see and shortens the time until someone here writes the killer app !
