Hi guys,

I wonder how many of you caused any damage at home using rift/touch.

Just in last 2 days I nearly broke my soffit lamp and i scratched the wall corner playing Dead and Buried (controller has got a nice scratch as well...)

At leased my Mrs was laughing instead of being grumpy about it.... If your Mrs is grumpy show them Nvidia VR funhouse with piercing balloons and flame arrows 😉

Luckily my controllers are still in one piece.

Any other damage?

Who cares about the house?? I punched my left controller into my closet door and now it has white paint on it that I can't get off.  My beautiful Rift controller has been blemished...  😞

Did the same here. Use those mini alcohol wipes and it'll come off very easily. I got tons of those from eBay to wipe down the goggles when there's many people wanting to try it out.

Uh, you might want to double check whether you should be using Alcohol wipes on your headset. I'm assuming you're not using them on the lenses, as there's supposed to be some kind of coating on the lens. Otherwise, Oculus did also specifically say not to wipe the headset with Alcohol.

Headset

To clean your Oculus Rift headset:

  • Use a dry cloth to clean the outside of your headset.
  • Use non-abrasive anti-bacterial wipes to clean the straps and the facial interface foam. Don't use alcohol or an abrasive cleaning solution.

Headset Lenses

To clean your Rift headset lenses:

  • Use a dry optical lens micro-fiber cloth to clean your headset lenses. Don't use liquid or chemical cleansers.
  • Starting from the center of the lens, gently wipe the lens in a circular motion moving outwards.

Since I got Space Pirate Trainer I keep hitting my desk and walls etc
Yesterday I bashed my toe into the table soo freaking hard while doing this epic matrix dodge, man that hurt.

Also had to remove paint from the oculus touch circles a few times.

Might have something to do with the sensors not being in the exact same position as when I set the guardian.
