Oculus won't take my money.

My Touch order status has been stuck on "unable to authorize payment method" for a week. I've updated my payment info multiple times with multiple working cards and Paypal, and each time authorization has failed and I've had to wait another day or two for them to attempt to process my order again. The card issuers and Paypal state that no transactions were attempted and they aren't blocking anything.

I opened a support ticket about this on the 9th. So far the only advice I've received has been to try yet another different payment method.

I was hoping to demo the Touch for some friends at a party last weekend. That didn't happen. I'm hoping to demo it for some coworkers next week, but at this rate, I doubt that will happen either.

Oculus, I want to be your customer. I want to give you money. I want to show your product to my friends and convince them to give you money. While many companies struggle to get anyone to care about their product, here you have a customer practically begging for the privilege of stuffing money into your pockets. Please allow me to do so.

As you have changed to multiple payment types, it might be that there is something amiss elsewhere on your account/order.

For example, could there be something wrong with your address information?

If there is nothing obvious, then a tech support ticket will probably be your best option.  They would be best placed to identify whether there is a hidden block on your account or anything else that is preventing payment.

Nope, the address is good. I opened a ticket for this last Friday. On Monday a support rep said to try a different payment method, which I already had, and if that didn't work to try Paypal. I switched it to Paypal and that failed yesterday, which I reported in the ticket 21 hours ago.

That sounds like a very frustrating problem. Worst case scenario maybe you could order it from Amazon or buy from Best Buy instead?

That might end up being the route I have to go. Unfortunately it'll mean losing out on the preorder bonuses.

UPDATE: After speaking to a support rep, I canceled my order and placed a new one, after which the rep marked the new order as a preorder and moved it up to my original position in the queue. The new order went through and my Touch shipped a few days later. It was absolutely worth it.
