Odd question about headset

So, the CV1 would have been my first VR experience in a very very long time. I was however using a cardboard type device the other day and noticed that it was hard to look at the screen, because my eyes had to continually look "up." Better way to describe it, is that when I'm looking at a monitor my eyeballs are pretty much focused straight, or slightly downwards. With the cardboard headset, my eyeballs are forced to strain upwards the whole time in order to see the picture.
Is this the way CV1 will be, or can it be adjusted such that my eyes are in a relaxed position while still looking at the center of the screens?

I hope this makes sense.

I can't say I've had that problem with cardboard, but it's probably an issue with how your phone was positioned in the enclosure. I don't imagine you'll have this issue with a built-in screen like the DK2 or CV1, or even a screen that attaches properly like with Gear VR.

What if it's an issue with how my eyes are positioned on my face.

If yours eyes are situated like this, then you might have a problem

Hopefully twitchmonkey's right, and it'll be fine since it has those dedicated screens rather than it relying on making sure you have your phone perfectly aligned.

Even if you happen to be an animated sloth, that's more likely to give you IPD issues where your eyes are too close or far apart for the images to converge properly. Most cardboard headsets have a rudimentary way to change this, but you can dial it in a lot more with the higher-end options. This shouldn't effect the perceived height of the screen though, so long as your eyes are centered in your ocular cavities, which they generally should be.
