Official DK2 Shipping Update (Aug 8th 2014)

Hey everyone,

By the end of this week, we'll have shipped over 16,000 DK2s worldwide.

To those still waiting for your kits to arrive, thank you for your continued patience. We’re doing what we can to get your DK2 to you as quickly as possible.

To those who have already received their kits, we hope you’re enjoying experimenting, building, and creating new VR experiences. A special thank you for everyone’s help testing the latest SDK. We know it’s still rough around the edges, and we’re squashing bugs as quickly as we can. Watch for an update to the SDK in the near future.

It's from a Google Docs sheet posted earlier in this thread. Don't take it as gospel though. It's not really all that accurate.

SO I just called PayPal to confirm if they have both received and given my payment to Oculus. And the answer to both questions was YES. Back in March (I ordered back on March 23rd from Ontario, Canada) they both received my payment and then Oculus had the money pretty much immediately. I would love to have this issue cleared up before the weekend as I don't want this to make as already dreary time even worse. Why Oculus... Why... 😞

Shipping began at the end of July and Oculus says they’ve already shipped more than 60,000 units.

AHHHHHH It's finally shipping! I've been patiently waiting and quietly reading as many posts as I can to prepare myself. Now I won't be able to sleep until it arrives, at which time I probably won't even try to sleep.

FYI, this is for shipping to Ohio. As you see above it was ordered on April 7th at about 2:20pm. I used a credit card so there was no delay with any PP payment BS as I've seen in some other threads.

I have very quickly gone from a jealous forum scrounging, you-tube drooling, F5 melting drone to the likes of a child on christmas eve. Is it wrong that my nipples are hard?
