Official DK2 Shipping Update (Aug 8th 2014)

Hey everyone,

By the end of this week, we'll have shipped over 16,000 DK2s worldwide.

To those still waiting for your kits to arrive, thank you for your continued patience. We’re doing what we can to get your DK2 to you as quickly as possible.

To those who have already received their kits, we hope you’re enjoying experimenting, building, and creating new VR experiences. A special thank you for everyone’s help testing the latest SDK. We know it’s still rough around the edges, and we’re squashing bugs as quickly as we can. Watch for an update to the SDK in the near future.

The cookie is timing out pretty quickly, but the link in the email still works fine to refresh it.

Should I write to Oculus and ask or wait till the end of the week? I have seen lots of people that put the order days after me have the their status changed to processing/ready/shipping

I suggest waiting until the end of week. This has been discussed endlessly before - and the answer to your problem is easy. Due to the regional distribution there will always be people who ordered after you receiving theirs first and vice versa.

But: It is never wrong to ask them if you feel unsure - i myself just think you will get it shipped this week.

Don't bother requested a new link. Keep using the old link once the page asks for a new request.

I'm in the same boat. Seeing lots of people after my order have a better status than myself.. Quite frustrating...

This batch seems to have been quite a bit larger than the previous ones, which I think it why those of us who have been processing since Thursday night haven't shipped yet.

Soon would be the best answer. Hopefully today or tomorrow is what I keep telling myself. I would love to have it for this weekend.
