We’re working on a number of SDK updates that will be included in the next release. Sorry to those that are still experiencing issues getting their DK2s up and running.

Did u fail to read what he just wrote it is his lively hood not a toy and if you see it that way. Then wait for CV1 and last time i checked its Facebook and from previous pushes of manufacturing they have created tens of thousands when they wanted to. Its not luck its the only way there going to spread by developers creating content for their platform.
That's why I'm a little bit confused with Oculus policy, there is a lot of developers in here, working on some projects...
We've cancelled support for Oculus (at least for release version) at this moment as we couldn't keep waiting on DK...
Normally when you applying for DK from SONY/Microsoft/Nintendo their is nice amount of paperwork to fill in order to buy/get DK's. Here is just shopping cart -> pay and viola.
Yeah. Exactly. These aren't really intended for developers. These are sold with the intent of creating buzz about the product. They can make a little cash, prove to their investors that they can sell these things, and get people to beta test their product. People buy these, they're blown away by them, they tell their friends and make YouTube videos. Next thing you know, the investors' kids and their friends' kids start talking about this tiny little VR company and that lets the investors know they can go toe to toe with Sony and Microsoft and compete globally. I'm betting Oculus keeps a decent inventory, and If a large, well funded, AAA producer wants to add oculus support, they probably get a handful of units overnighted, free of charge. Sorry if that offends anyone, but that's just how it is. There is no need to get so upset about these things, they will eventually get to you. Personally, I'm pretty stoked and already downloaded a mountain of content, but I'm not losing any sleep over it.
