Official DK2 Shipping Update (Sept 12th 2014)

Great news, guys. We've brought South Korea online and, by next week, Oceania will be up-to-speed with the rest of the world.

We've also now shipped well over the majority of DK2 pre-orders!

We’re working on a number of SDK updates that will be included in the next release. Sorry to those that are still experiencing issues getting their DK2s up and running.

You'r very young or very inexperience. Oculus is so far one of the worst businesses I ever encountered during my business life. End of story.

Technology isn't that brilliant, there is very far far road ahead of them, I believe that Oculus has very bad management team and they making poor strategy decisions, but it isn't my business.

You understand that you can use a simple copy of Oculus on any smartphone along with appropriate software ?

Biggest value here is mostly the SDK, but Oculus seems to believing in all that c*** about how great they are and somewhere they just start loosing connection with reality.

My product won't support DK2 as I don't believe that Oculus will provide anything close to the real consumer version before 2016. With their attitude I hardly believe that big companies will invest money into including support of Rift (mostly due to poor SDK).

Let remember about the competition and just look how Oculus treat their developers...

11 weeks! and adding !! yohooooo!
establish a record,
maldistribution and no support and information.

As a developer, I will not invest in a single currency Oculus to define how they will distribute the final product.

I will not buy any more with Oculus KIT, will wait for someone to talk about it officially.

I agree with you, I'm not going to invest my money in Oculus.

With these organizational problems, no information and very poor distribution, defines this company as bad, very bad.

I hope Asia is next and you guys will be caught up as well. No need to argue anymore, we will all get what we paid for and will laugh about this one day when we have our CV1 in our hands.

Mine has just been shipped but I will stick to this forum out of curiousity to see how orders go out this coming week.

It seems like forever, but I am glad it took so long as I am much more excited for it than I was at the 8-9 week point.

I don't understand why they have to ship like this. It's so amateur, it's unprofessional and it's down right sloppy. They however seem to not care at all. That kind of incompetence from a company so new is disturbing. I really don't see them leading the industry very long. It's a safe bet to say they won't be around in 10 years. It quite obvious they don't want to acknowledge the problems with their processing/shipping methods. It's even sadder that they, don't realize the basics of company end user communication. It's too bad really

Same right here. Mine was august 1st
It's been 11 weeks and not a single information from oculus is really annoying. Such a terrible company
