I see many similar threads about headsets that sat for a while and then were bricked from an update when used again. Back in December, I got out my Quest 2 headset that hadn't been used in some time. It auto-updated, and after the update it stopped responding. The device would boot up, but I was stuck on the home page with the Horizon window open. I could click and scroll through that page fine (both controllers work 100%) but nothing outside of that window, including the keyboard, would respond. This made the device useless..
After going through all of the troubleshooting steps with Meta support, they kindly replaced it under warranty. However, the new device (received the first week of January) ended up having the same issue. This was the same time that Meta's website had the banner about an update that was breaking devices, so I seemed to be suffering the same bug as many others. Again, lots of troubleshooting with their support team ultimately lead to them replacing it again.
I'm now on the 3rd device (second replacement under warranty) and still have the same issue! What the heck man. It's exactly the same problem, it gets to the Horizon page and won't respond to anything else. When I do a factory reset, it gets stuck at the "Device setup complete" screen where it won't recognize when I click the meta button to take me to the home page. (again, the controllers are fine-- long pressing the meta button resets the view) After resetting the headset a dozen or more times it eventually let me click through to the home page, but then I'm stuck on the Horizon Meta window again.
I've now spent months repeating the same troubleshooting steps on 2 replacement devices with zero improvement, it's the exact same issue I had back in December... Does that seem acceptable? I've reached out to the support team (again) and am getting the same canned responses. I'm really not excited about waiting for shipping (again!) to replace the unit and then just continue this mess over and over. I don't know what to do next, any thoughts?

@1mikez I'd be inclined to do the updates incrementally by using this method.
