Wasn't sure if I should put this in here or in the games forum but since this is more about the mods than the game, I opted here. I figured with the end of the Rift based games, it's a good time to highlight some other PC content that's available.
Here's some of the PCVR mods that I find interesting. I haven't played all of these yet but most seem well regarded. Some of these are also available for standalone on Quest 2.

Subnautica Below Zero looks awesome 😍 - would be my primary focus considering the above VR mods. Unfortunately I'm very far from completing the main game - need to do that first 😇
Btw, just to show some images from Subnautica res 400% (but I think in-game slider is set to 70% as the default, and I did not touch that one, so this is .... 0.7 x 400 = res 280 % 🤔 ) I did get 45 fps, but motion smoothing worked perfectly - I'm Reviving the Oculus version - and Knuckles work perfectly.
Last week I just swam around for an hour or so - not really doing anything - feels like a great diving sim - I took a few shots:
Those waves simply look awesome - using highest graphics setting
Just some casual stress-reducing diving, lol - but see the sunlight through the water and the dynamic shadows - it looks awesome!
Again, check out the real-time (sun)light and shadows - that's why this game is extremely demanding - even with the RTX 3090
Check the beautiful water surface - and textures look nice even if many are low-res
The interface has received many harsh words, but when you get used to it, it works fine - at least to me
Nice view distance and polygon levels are great - feels like devs just modded the 2D version for VR...
Check out the dynamic shadows - maybe not exactly Lone Echo 2 quality, but definitely not bad either
Some Big Fish or the like - with dense vegetation and nice poly levels

Fantastic thread, @pyroth309 !
I was once a big critic of VR Mods since I held the idea that unless a title was "made for VR" then the experience would be lackluster. However, I have been proven quite wrong. Now I love me some VR Mods 😁
It may be worthwhile to include links to ongoing discussion of these Mods.
For example, we have the MechWarrior 5 Mod thread here:

dburne has provided invaluable info for anyone jumping in to this for the first time.
I'm looking forward to trying all these Mods eventually. Although for Alien Isolation... I will need to stock up on those Adult Diapers first lol

Yea Subnautica was awesome but it had that annoying UI issue in VR when I was playing it. It looked awesome even with that jankery though. I read they've sinced fixed that but I haven't returned to it. One day.

Yeah I loved how it looked but was definitely not a fan of that Subnautica UI. I may return to it one day, but for now... too much new goodness to enjoy! Especially with Lone Echo 2 and RE4 VR.

Luke Ross added Mafia 1 and 2 to his mods. You have to support him by Patreon to play them though but not a bad deal to get them all really. 10 bucks to download em all... but you'll have to pledge again to get em in the future.

When I get old and retired, I'll take time off to finally getting Skyrim VR running - lol - I have a feeling that Skyrim VR is the very best PCVR game when optimally modded...
Seems so cumbersome with all the Skyrim mods - I wish I just could download a version which was already properly modded, sigh.

Cool thread, I should add the Tie fighter total conversion mod is an addon to the X-wing alliance game mod. I would have to say X-wing alliance is probably my favorite game of that genre. The modding team and website has been around since 2004, I think. I was using their mods to play it in VR on my old Z800 back then. They were necessary then to keep the game alive because it didn't make the transition from Win 98 to XP, something about not being able to address cards that had more than 256 mb of RAM , if I recall. Luckily a game the developers released the source code for. I believe both the Steam and GOG's versions contain their original patch.
They have also been rebuilding the textures since they started I played it back in 06 in VR with their texture mods.. Here is an old early version of their X-wing cockpit mod as I played it on my Z800
And this is what it looks like now, of course an Oculus snap doesn't do it justice
The new A-wing
And here is the new Tie cockpit. This one feels real roomy I like how the forward and aft targeting radars seem off in a distance.
Also for me this is the only game that has built in force feedback FX built into the game so my MS sidewinder works as it did in Win 98 and XP. Really adds to the immersion to have the stick fighting you when you're taking on damage. Taking on damage has always been a wonderous thing with this game. Sparks look like they're flying in your lap.
Hundreds of talented people behind the magic of XWUP XWA and TF VR mods through the years.
