Please convince me on why I should keep my Rift vs. unloading it.

So my Rift which I ordered day 1 finally arrived recently.  It's sitting in the brown box Oculus shipped to me in.  I haven't even taken the Rift out of the shipment box yet.
My situation is as follows, I've had the Vive for over a month now...aside from lack of content I love what I've tried.  I've tried DK2 previously last year.  Since I'm happy with the Vive I want to sell off the Rift unopened.  So far, there are no takers.  So now I'm left with either returning it to Oculus, selling it at cost to get rid of it, or open it and try the thing.  I don't see the point to having both these headsets though.  Anyone have both?
Btw, I've posted previously on my thoughts on VR.  I wanted a new experience not a headset that lets me view traditional games from a unique perspective.  This and the Rift delay were what lead me to buy the Vive in the first place.  I have no inclination to play driving games which seems to be what everyone likes their Rift for.  I've read that CV1 is sharper than Vive but again not sure how objective that is.

Interesting. I went the opposite direction. Started with a Vive, but after four days,  I acquired a a subtle jitter. It was right after Steam pushed out a firmware update on the headset. After about 75 suggestions, I gave up. HTC's tech-support was nil,  and I was not about to send a four day old system back for repairs. I opted for a refund, so I could purchase a new one Vive and probably get it faster at that point. Well, that never happened.

I tried the Oculus demo at Best Buy, and I immediately  made up my mind that it was best for me. The screen was super stable, the headset, a hell of a lot more comfortable, and while I love room scale, ultimately, I'd rather be playing in a swivel chair after a hard days work.  I prefer the sitting experiences but I'd like the option of having room scale as well, so touch will be the icing on the cake.   I think the Vive is an amazing piece of tech, but honestly, I'm looking forward to my Oculus this Wednesday. Glad you were able to sell yours, though!

Oh, forgot  to add. I did try out revive when I had the Vive, and Luckys Tale was the game that I wound up playing the most, so it was meant to be.

Interesting remarks about lack of interest on ebay at cost price. I assume you're USA?

Genuinely surprised he had hardly any takers at cost price.......  do we know the listing.  Id be willing to bet it wasn't the same price he paid for it.

edit:  ahh it did sell.

Well the wait times in the US now are minimal, not the 2-3 days like the Vive but still pretty quick compared to Europe. Plus we're hearing more reports of being able to walk into Best Buy and get one right away. So this is going to take away some of the gusto from ebay sales and those who bump up the prices. I'm not sure how the pricing works in the US regarding the added TAX but the default price is $599 and people are still commanding up to $750 on Ebay. I assume then the seller included getting the TAX paid back and sold his for just under $700.

Well can only be a good thing.  Would not like to be someone who bought a CV1 off Ebay to find it faulty.  Dont think there would be any warranty with that kind of sale.

this is completely subjective, we are all different..if i had the vive already, i would sell the rift at profit, further down the line if u feel. U can always buy the rift when its availible without a headache purchase.
Personally oculus has terrible customer service, vive portal offers something oculus needs to learn, service is everything!! If u are satisified stick with the vive otherwise open package.
I have to say since u are asking it appear u cannot be happy with the vive??
