nobody here with inverted left thumbstick controls in fights?

If you turn the touch controller upside down it does indeed reverse the thumbstick controls, i checked last night... very weird !

So ive found a few bugs ;-(  The first one is I cant seem to unlock shouts. I have two dragon souls stored up and four shouts discovered. Any time I try to unlock a shout I get the "dragon soul required" text appear. Not handy. The 2nd and far more annoying is this. I'm doing the Staff of Magnus (Mage Guild quest). Ive gotten back to the C.O.W. with the staff, spoken to Tolfdir. Gone into the room with Ancarno but the game doesn't trigger. I can speak to him and theres a 3 speech line that appears in dots. Even that doesn't trigger him. Worst thing is Tolfdir just stands there like a dick. I start hitting Ancarno with staff fire etc , nothing. Tolfdir gets in the line of fire. Turns on me! WTF. Have tried reloading earlier saves but keeps happening regardless of how often I try. Is there a console command that I can use to skip forward in the mission?  I have 0 mods on the game for reference. Its pure as it comes.

To unlock dragon shouts you have to press the b button or its a different button on your controller than what is on the menu. Try the b or x button next time. It will work!

I've been a user of Vorpx for a couple of years...and yes it has it's problems but I think it's worth a purchase...especially with the latest version. Finished Skyrim Vorpx (same mods as I'm using in Skyrim VR now) after 200hrs and it was worth it...but Skyrim VR official fully modded leaves Vorpx in the dust visually...and performance wise.

If you are into the Metro series, they run decent in Vorpx but require playing at a lower rez...even with a 1080ti system. I was playing through Last light when Skyrim VR appeared...so I quickly dropped that and went with Skyrim VR instead. I may go back to them later...but for now...or the next 1000 hrs or so, I'll be in Skyrim VR...LOL!!! Or if Skyblivion, Skywind gets released I'll just stay in that...

I think part of the issue I have had with VorpX is that I am on a GTX970 so I do notice performance issues (though not so much in Skyrim - it ran excellent and if an official port hadn't come out I likely would have continued a character in it).

I love the Metro series - I have both the originals and the remasters, so I will try both of them out.

Fallout New Vegas is supposed to run as well as a made for VR game apparently. I keep on meaning to give that and the original BioShock a go but I don't have the time.

I originally bought it before I got my Rift because I foolishly thought that there wouldn't be that many decent VR games to play lol

I did the exact same thing - I ordered the Rift and bought VorpX while I was waiting for it to arrive thinking that is where I'd be spending the majority of my time. To be honest I thought the VR Native games were just gimmicks - until I played them that is. LOL

I think you let me know about Fallout New Vegas before - I have like 2 or 3 hours left in my last play through for it (modded using Fear and Loathing in New Vegas STEP guide), but the Fallout New California total conversion is coming out. So I may finish up my flat play through and see how that plays in VorpX.

I completely forgot about that. I did that the first time I nodded it but not after adding the new mods. I'll try that later, thanks!

No problemo - let me know how it works out. 🙂

For all your Skyrim VR INI tweaks you never knew were doable...look here.

Many gameplay, performance and UI tweaks in a easily viewable list and point and click form.

That is awesome - just went through this last night and already noticed huge gains from these tweaks. Thanks!!! 🙂

Yep - I do most of my playing at night, I have some free time currently so I am posting more than I normally would but I'll soon be back at work.

I also find that I can't do much more than 2 hours in standing VR gameplay without getting a little disorientated (no nausea or anything, just general distortion of time and sense of space) which is fine if I am going to bed right after - also I don't like playing through the day as may I have to go out and about and it gives me the weirdest hat hair that can only be fixed by completely rewashing it or wearing a hat and I am not normally a hat person at least for any longer than a bit in the morning if I have to run out to get some milk or eggs or other general breakfast item that may be missing in the fridge.

Just get the clippers to your bonce. My hair is shaved to a number one level, and I'm a baldy bonce so I don't have any hat hair problems. Just cut it all off and become a skinhead like me lol

lol - I've only shaved my head once, and though I found many benefits to it I like having some hair on my head - although it is due for a cut (I go every 4 to 5 months and it does get pretty long), I haven't had short hair yet in VR so I don't know how that'll be - probably much better!

Have you set the SteamVR super sampling rate to 100% and disabled Dynamic Resolution in the game options? Are you using OTT or the Debug Tool to super sample?

Yes, I actually posted this issue in another thread but many people with high end rigs are reporting the same problem, including myself running a GTX 1080. The only solution I've found so far is using the Oculus tray tool and changing the ASW to 45 fps instead of Auto. This fixes the stuttering but makes me motion sick fairly quickly when it didn't before. It appears to be the Oculus software causing issues. Really hoping this gets fixed soon!
