Pre notify Credit Card company?

So as its getting closer to my estimated delivery window and im seeing some folks getting their orders cancelled, im wondering if I should contact my Credit Card company and tell them to make sure it gets authorized and possibly use the same card to make a payment on Oculus Home.

So if I phone my Credit Card company what is the actual name of the company who takes the payment?

The Oculus store receipt is from Oculus VR, LLC. Is it the same for buying the CV1 itself?

Will using my card to buy something on home first help?

Any advice would greatly appreciated.

I don't think the cancelled orders relate to payments, although I may be wrong.

That's a completely different message to the "This email is a confirmation that your order 613000032xxxxxx placed on January 06 has been cancelled." which is what I received a while back now and was a mistake cancellation, nothing to do with payments at the time since I'm still weeks away from my delivery window.

As for buying something on Home... maybe?  These checks / bank refusals are usually down to unusual spending / high amounts etc, so if you have bought from Oculus before, then maybe it won't see it as unusual.
That's my hope at least, having bought Chronos 😉

@FX2K Thanks mate, hopefully someone who has been charged can confirm the name of the company, im assuming its the same as the store - Oculus VR, LLC, but id like to get that confirmed so when I phone the CC company I can tell them to make sure they are ok. Im thinking of getting chronos too

Thanks for the heads up. Im not sure I want to risk changing the payment details at this stage. I think I will buy chronos so that there is some activity from oculus on that card and give them a call anyway. Im sure if they see hundreds of £'s for geeky tech stuff they will no its me 🙂

depending on your bank you might have to keep notifying them when the notification expires.. I've been notifying mine for 3 weeks now.. my shipping window has passed with no joy as yet, but if you're "anywhere but Australia" you should be ok assuming you'll get yours in your window.
